Thermostat Question?

I just finished servicing my radiator (Flush/Fill), and I also changed my thermostat. I was using a 160* therm. but lately its taking too long to heat up and the heater isn't blowing hot enough due to the cold weather (15-20*)
When I replaced my thermostat today I went with a 195* unit. The heater is blowing significantly hotter air, which is what I was aiming for. My question though, are there any significant side effects with running warmer I should be aware of? I know the knock is something to consider, and cooler is better in that regard.
I plan to go back to the 160* thermostat here in a couple of months when the weather gets warmer.
Any insight would be appreciated!

195 180 160 all are good operating temps. yes with temp increases there is a knock issue, but not at 195 or below, over 200 that may become a problem for you but, Tom Dowds truck, featured in Streetrucks operates at 220 with 900 horsies.

Thanks for the input guys, the truck is running good, and I can't tell any different at WOT, seems to run just fine.

Yep,195 is stock.I switched to a 180 2 years ago,and no problems, and still blows hot air for the heater.
