Thread Sizes

Does anyone have a master thread size listing? I'm mostly interested in thread sizes of engine sensors, and all of the upper intake sizes.

Hoping someone else has done this homework so that i don't have to :lol:

CTS=3/8" npt
Brake Vacuum Line=3/8" npt
Vacuum Ports Front and Back= 3/8" npt
Upper to Lower=1/4"
Throttle Body For whatever reason are Metric I believe. Not sure on size though
Knock Sensor=1/4" npt
Water Temp Sender=3/8" npt

Heater outlet fitting 1/2" FPT
Thermostat housing bolts 3/8-16
Hole for intercooler pipe bracket 5/16-18
Turbo water outlet 3/8 FPT
Upper to lower intake bolts 5/16-18
Distributor hold-down 3/8-16

Since we're talking bolt sizes do you know how to figure wrench size from bolt size?



























1/2 bolt size added to the bolt size = wrench size
3/8 / 2 = 3/16
3/8 + 3/16 = 9/16 (works almost every time.)

Huh! Never tried / heard of this.

I got it to work better (4 out of 5 by adding 3/16 to the bolt size (converted to 16ths):

1/4 = 4/16 + 3/16= 7/16
5/16 + 3/16 = 8/16= 1/2
3/8 = 6/16 + 3/16 = 9/16
7/16 + 3/16 = 10/16 = 5/8
1/2 = 8/16 + 3/16 = 11/16 ( This doesn't work. A 1/2" bolt is 3/4" wrench. But your way does: 1/2 ÷ 2 = 1/4+1/2= 3/4! )
