throwin codes n shit

took the truck out today since the roads cleared up somewhat. haven't drive it since the new motor went in. also figured whynot since it's insured for the next week. anyhow, decided to stop into my work and see if one of the techs could hook up a scantool. turns out the truck is throwing two codes:

34 - manifold absolute pressure low
42 - electronic spark timing bypass circuit

tried to clear the codes but they justt popped right back up. is this normal for these trucks?

sort of off topic but the truck is also making an unfamiliar low pitched whirring/whistling noise under acceleration. not obnoxious or harmful sounding, just abnormal really. sounds either turbo or vacuum related.

42 is always set after the tan wire is disconnected to set the timing. Reset the ecm to clear.

Make sure the vacuum line to the MAP sensor is hooked up, and follow the diagnostics here:

Sounds like a vacuum hose is off/cracked/leaking.
