Russ Bland used to have one on his site, but he sold his truck and I just noticed tonight that the link I had to his site no longer works.
I was going to do something like this for NASTE, but only had like 7 out of 63 people provide timeslips :roll:
Could it be done? yes, will it.........who knows. Either someone has to maintain it, or someone had to write a script for it so people could update it themselves. I dont have the knowledge to do that kinda web work but there are people here who can and at least one of them even has access to the syty.net server :wink:
If enough people were interested and someone would put forth the effort, it might just happen.

I would be intereseted in that kind of feature. It would be a good way to keep track of times instead of having a stack of old time slips.
I'm not sure how to run a poll of how many people would like this to happen here on syty.net.So if there is anyone that wants to see this happen post your response here and maybe someone will do it for us.I have recieved several pm that said it was a good idea. there is no point to making a poll.

sometimes it costs money to do things right.
if there is going to be a database on this site, having it linked off-site is stupid.
If we put the database on here, we could then tie it into the phpBB code and have it use the same username/password/logon information so the timeslip information could be self managed. this is probably ideal.
the thing could do all sorts of stuff, like... require timeslips to be "authenticated" by other members of the community, offer a place to post the build that you were using at the time when you ran the numbers, store the track, elevation, weather conditions... i mean the sky is the limit.

VBulletin would be a beautiful thing. Of course that costs money and im not sure how much the syty.net account has. We could however setup a section for donating members.protosy said:

Why don't we add what turbo, wastegate, intercooler, heads, cam, etc. everyone in the top 10 is using as well? This would be good info. You can find out if a PT51 will take you into the 10s, or if you need a 76, just for example.
I have a spreadsheet of this already - it's just interesting to look at all the data.
