tire suggestions for drag racing

Hi all,

have an extra set of factory rims I wanted to mount tires for drag racing. what are peoples thought on the most cost effective way to go? Just bought brand new street tires on my 1st set of rims and use those for general purpose. but the truck would only see strip time twice a month at best. So do i search around town for a decent set of used tires or pony up for some dedicated drag radials like the NIttos?

also how wide of a tire can I go with on the rears?

I have been running MT drag radials on my Ty. They work very well and I have been happy with them so far. I am actually switching to new rims so I am going to sell these tires if you are interested.
Four MT drag radials, used but in good shape $400 plus shipping.

i have 2 MT drag radials for sale. 255 50 r 16. little taller than stock but would work fine if you had the same size tire up front. 150+ shipping
