Took down an S2000 with a body kit

Moderate traffic on the way home from work so I wasn't looking for anything. The 700R4 is acting kind of funny so I've been babying it. I see these HID's swerving back and forth through traffic behind me. A white S2000 with an exhaust on it (all that I could see) flies up and is passing me at a pretty good rate when a light hits red up ahead. There was a car in front of me...:tdown: who then moved over into the turn lane. :tup: We were at the stop for a few seconds and I did a little lurch forward. He then rev'd his engine a bit. I think he was smiling (or laughing at my '91 S-10 pickup). Light turns red and the race was done. It was 4-5 car lengths within the 1st few seconds and then he seemed to hang there in my rear view mirror in that same spot. I was thinking to myself, "wow, those HID's sure look nice. I wish my Sy had them...". I took it up to about 85mph and then backed off due to some traffic. He switched over into my lane and was riding my @$$ until I turned off.

I know the guy had no clue what just happened to him, I wanted to tell him "Syclone... google it". That would make a good license plate "Googlit" :lol:

One of the very few stoplight races I've gotten from a non-BMW.

You should not have beaten him everyone knows that an aftermarket exhaust and a body kit add over 200 HP.:rotf:

Last year at the local Import event I went up against an S2k in the finals in my Civic 4door... He lost.... Too much wheel spin.. And my civic only runs 13.95... No turbo or bottle

Not as screwed as the stickers... he was probably like "why did that dumb@$$ s-10 owner put 'syclone' stickers on his truck". Little did he know they were good for about 200 hp. :)

I actually like the S2000's and have considered getting an older one, they are selling the $10k range now and would be a good/reliable convertible.

I just read they are discontinuing them now also. '09's are going to be the last ones.

Very very fun little cars to drive the piss out of. They have factory bodykit/exhaust/wing/rollbar options for them the last few years. Its like the "SH" model or something. More for the turns

Yes they are fun, my friend has one (not riced out at all and has real mods) and drives the piss out of it, but he built it for that. I gotta say it's very fun to ride in, and handles extremely well. The "SH" model, is actually the "CR" which is for Club Racer"

What is it with BMW'S down there? :dunno: I noticed when I was i Raliegh, NC Thats all I saw on the street, old and new. LOL Just like Texas seems to drive nothing but Fords.

Nice. I decided to take off from a light one day, and as I was slowing down to make a turn, I hear an ear-splitting buzzing coming up behind me. Two kids in an S2K with a "I <3 JDM" sticker in the window fly past and give me the finger :dunno: . Nice cars I suppose, but I'm not amused by 8200 rpm redlines :roll:
