Took the week off...

Spent a fotune on -10 fuel line fittings & had a bunch of motor parts powdercoated.
The intake, TB adapter & fuel rails turned out a little darker than I had hoped for, but it still looks clean & will be easier to keep clean.

Short block is complete, would be a long block if I was going to run the Vortec's.

Since I'm going to use the Pontiacs, keep your eyes open 'cause I'll probably be selling the Vortec heads & cam as a set.

Your not gonna be one of those guys that spends $20K on an engine and says he's got $1000 for a trans are you?

Saying it looks good is an understatement. PURDY!!!
Get everything sealed up good and hopefully you won't be getting greasy for a long time.

Nope, I upgraded. Spent an extra $500 on the "bulletproof" upgrade.:squint: :rotf:

you gonna polish those valve covers???? jk.. looks awesome.

They would look good polished along with the silver & black. Haven't decided exactly what to do with them yet.

Right now I'm working on the fuel system. FUBAR'd the fuel rails I had for the Pontiac intake. I was trying to drill & tap them for 1/2" npt adapters. What a PITA!!!
Now I have to have some new ones made.:(

Wow, that is amazing. The bracket on the right side of the pic is pretty intense. ---

That is one clean engine bay . I like the drivers side bracket only setup , I have thought about the same but didnt know how you make the belt tight without the tensioner . What are you going to do ?

Don't know what FC FED plans to do but one option for you could be what Mike(tytilidie) hooked me up with which is this and after some trimming of the bracket which he did also you have this
You simply twist and it raises or lowers the alt.. pretty sweet setup

I was trying to figure out how to ditch all of the stock brackets & run a combination of March brackets. It would be to much trial & error though, so I'm gonna stick with the stock for now.

I'm thinking a spring loaded tensioner for the long run between the damper & alt. And probably a fixed idler mounted to a chunk of aluminum to fit into that gaping recess.
Maybe I can make a bracket that will hold both tensioner & idler that will fit into that recess.

What!?!? No Stainless SRP 12pt's in there? Yucky:rotf:

I've grown fond of the stainless 12pt bolts. I was about to order another $200 worth for all the fasteners on the turbo and exhaust manifolds. That $hit adds up fast.
