I still don't understand why people make such a big deal about changing plugs on these things???
I have had people I don't even know (and that have never owned a Typhoon) comment about how they are "glad they aren't the ones tuning it up".

I also own both a Ty and a GN. One of the reasons I think I had problem with learning about the Ty was because I had already learned about the GN and I was trying to make a connection between them. If I would have just learned the Ty and not tried to associate them as "like" vehicles, just because they are both turbo vehicles, I would have been a better student.

I did plugs when I first got my truck I jacked it up took off the wheel and was easy as pie less than 30mins to do all six.

I don't even pop the front tires off when I do plugs. Just jack the truck up a bit to ease the weight off the suspension and open up the fender gap between the cladding and the tire. An extension with the plug socket and ratchet works great through the fenderwell skirt after that. :tup:

As a GN owner for 24 years, as well as soon-to-be Typhoon owner, I've been trying to educate myself on these trucks. I, too have made the mistake of trying to use my knowledge of the GN as a basis for understanding the Typhoon. And so far, I've learned that the only thing that's even remotely similar is, they both have turbocharged GM V6's. Nothing else about them is close to being the same.
As a GN owner for 24 years, as well as soon-to-be Typhoon owner, I've been trying to educate myself on these trucks. That is what I was thinking. They share nothing. I just prefer our truck for their rarity. With a site like this any help is just a click away.

Yes, there is THAT! I had forgotten! I ripped out my stock cluster for a GNX-styled unit about 5-years ago. The LED bar graph was cool to look at, but was about as useful as the idiot lights for oil pressure and water temp!
