For some reason this thing is unlocking while im diving and then re-engaging, not all the time but its getting more and more regular, tranny is new and has a 2400 stall, I was told it was the sylinoid and had it replaced, well it stopped and then its back again. sorry if this is a repost but i didn't find this in a search. thanks for any info.

you might wanna see if you clogged up the old solinoid or it's burnt up. that will tell you if you have an electrical problem or if your converter is coming apart and clogging the solinoid. are you sure it's not the brake switch and you've checked the ecm to be sure it's commanding the tc to stay locked all the time and you've put a paper clip in the aldl to force 100% lockup.

Re: torque converter unlocking while driving?

You can ground F on the ALDL connector to force the TCC to lock. You can ground it by connecting it to A with a bent paperclip. http://www.sportmachines.com/maintenance/aldl.php If the problem goes away when you do this, then your ECM is telling the TCC to unlock and re-lock. It could do this in cooler temps with a lower thermostat (the temperature drops below the minimum required to allow lockup, then warms up and locks again, etc.). Or some other weird chip programming thing...

I have the brian green chip the one with the dial the turns from 0-9 and the a-f. I heard these suk but im not sure so help me out if you can, thanks
