Torque Master Spark Plugs

Just helped one of the "new" Typhoon guys change the spark plugs to CR42TS's in his truck, found these in it:

Out of curiosity I'm wondering if these plugs will have any positive or negative affect on our engines. His seemed to have a rougher than normal idle which now seems to be gone, but we did a complete ignition tune up (except the coil), so its hard to blame the plugs.

I've read about people using these and have the outer electrode break off.

The one thing I don't like about the NGK's, is that damn screw on cap.
Those things always vibrate loose. You can tighten them as much as you want, it doesn't make a diff. Just doesn't seem like a good arrangement.

Man, I've had a set for almost 8 years. My first day. Bought the truck, ready to go hog wild, before the SyTy list members said, GOOD LUCK! So with that unwanted feel of a guinea pig sitting on a stick of dynamite, I received them, all shiny and new, just like they are now, sitting on the shelf in the basement. Keep us posted if you decide to go for it. GOOD LUCK! See? It just doesn't feel too comfortable making that trip into no man's land alone. You have to do that enough as it is.

That's the point. I haven't put them in. I've been a guinea pig way too often. I guess I should of said, "like they still are, sitting on my shelf downstairs with all the other parts I never had time to put on." That's why I told him to keep us posted if he decided to try them out. They look cool. I even bought 8 for the 440+6 Cuda but they are sitting right next to the Sy's plugs.

Wasn't planning on using them in my own Ty or anyone else's. I was asking to help determine if they were having any impact on my friend's Ty that HAD been using them. It's just one of those deals where I pulled these plugs out of his truck and was like "what in the hell is this?"

I've got several sets of NGK's in front of me. UR5's, UR6's, UR6IX's and some racing plugs, none use screw on caps. Possibly in other applications they might, but not in our applicaiton.
