TPS question MAP question

I have a yellow and orange wire coming off my TPS going about 5 inches to a connector that has electrical tape over it. Any idea what this is? Looks like factory wiring/connector but I dont know. Any help appriciated.

Also, how can I tell if my MAP sensor is a 3 bar or not?

Last thing is, I had a miss that only showed up at around 14psi and rarely at idle. I replaced the cap and rotor after seeing that the rotor had not been pushed down all the way and was rubbing on the top of the cap. I dont have a continuous miss anymore at high boost but I still miss or surge like 3 times during a 1/4 mile run. I checked the gap on all the plugs and sprayed the plug wires to try and get them to arc but everything looks fine. Any suggestions on were to look next?

TPS, have no idea what those wires are doing there (nitrous maybe? ). Trace them and see what they go to.

Miss, c'mon you know the song and dance ... Replace the cap and rotor (conrad brass #DR2012G), wires (Taylor Spiro Pros) and plugs (CR42TS or NGK UR5's). HTH's

the wire comming off your tps has no use at all. something a previous owner did. snip it off an re-electrical tape it. you can replace everything in your car and never get rid of that stumble. if it happens under boost, i would suspect fuel pump if all ignition components are up to par. what fuel pump is in it? what is the base fuel pressure? talk to brandon(madpsi) we met the other night at firebird(he was the passenger) he has datamaster and that will help you out alot.
