The track rental this year has doubled in price, leaving us with significantly higher cost to cover. This will raise registration to $100+ dollars per truck. Many people enjoyed the track last year, but many only made 1 to 2 passes. Attached is poll, please select the option that best suits you!

T&T is not bad, but $120 seems really high. Would that be for the group to have the track to ourselves for the entire day? I know most of us "out of towners" that might be somewhat extreme since we already have to pay for a hotel room, etc. I'm excited to meet some other owners, and see some nice trucks.

That would be for 3 hours of track rental in the morning. It is high, because the track doubled their rates from last year. This is the point of the poll. I want to know the "out of towners" opinions.

It's not so much the cost for me, but the fear of beating on my truck that far from home.

I agree with others.. Test and Tune is fine with me. No point to rent out the track to ourselves if its going to be that much money.

Would they be willing to let us have our own lane during test and tune? At tri-state they gave us the whole side of the track and our own lane one day.

Each track is different some busier than others. If test and tune equals 1-2 runs and long waits that is different.

Well, the track will not let us rent a lane at Test and Tune. Usually test and tune is somewhat busy, but they way the track has been with everyone this year, rate increase, scheduling, some people are staying away.

Wade can chime in here as he knows Test and Tune there better!

In order to cover the track cost, everyone will most likely have to pay the 120. Last year we had about 25 trucks run. We still need to cover t-shirts, food and other costs (band, 40x60 tent, food, and drinks). Would probably be $160 for a registration.

How much was registration last year. Are we anticipating a bigger turnout of trucks this year?

We are anticipating a big number of trucks again this year! We are firming up having the GM Special trucks again, and some other good stuff to give away! Last year the registration was $70 per truck, not including a guest.

Band is costing us little to nothing, it would only be like $5 cheaper without the band. :tup:

Racing and seeing others run down the track is a big part for me. If it is a private rental or not, my concern is waiting in line 2hrs for 1 run. I don't mind other cars there, just not 500 other cars all trying to run.

Any chance to share rental cost with another local car club? Invite any locals to lower cost and keep numbers down or do they charge by the # of cars?
