Trailer Hitch

Does anyone know of where to find a hidden hitch for a Typhoon. I am looking for the one that would conceal the hitch behind the license plate. Thanks.

It's not recommended to tow anything period.
But a small trailer like a jet ski and a careful driver staying out of the boost shouldn't do too much damage.

Here's the setup that was on my Ty when I bought it...

Notice how they welded the crossmember directly under the body mount bolts... Damn texans...

Here's what I did to it..

I know these trucks are rare and we should not be towing with them but if a jet ski or a small trailer is being towed I dont see any problems with that, I mean a jet ski and trailer wieghs about 500-750lbs, so I dont think that will kill the drivetrain.

The only difference between a syty and a 4wd for our years is the transfer case, right? Hell the tranny is alot stronger than a regular 4wd from the factory.

I am not saying run out and get your trailer hitches hooked up but these trucks are a little more capable than we give them credit for, I bet you could tow quite a bit, I have towed 5000lbs with a regular 4wd s-10, not the best tow vehicle , but it got the job done, probably would not do it again.

You shouldn't tow because of the turbo not the drivetrain. I think the
added weight keeps the engine under boost and the heat becomes a factor.
Probably the part throttle maps were not made around that scenario

Towing a jet ski is not going to be even noticed, and i am aware of the turbo, but almost every diesel truck has a turbo and makes 20lbs from the factory, I say if you want to tow a small something , go for it.

I been towing my jet with my Ty for about 4 years now. Towing my 500 lbs jet ski is no worse then having a few of you big guys in my truck. i had a custom hitch made for my truck. welded right to the frame.
