trans line to radiator fittings

These trucks are cursed
im hooking up a new trans cooler and im looking for 5/16 brass fittings that fit in the radiator and the transline... but in 90*.
the fittings that come with the B&M supercooler are straight and make the hose stick out. its just too much crap in the way with that, the battery, the air inlet hose, the radiator over flow hose... just want to make it look a little cleaner and have a little more room.

PS. ive been to every damn store in 3 cities and couldnt find them, checked 2 pep boys, 2 autozones, one p.a.w., and one OSH.

Likewise, I drove ALL over creation trying to find what you are looking for when I did my install four years ago.

I even stopped at a few parts stores out of state before I cried "uncle" and bought them from Mike Lee: http://www.raceprovenmotors.com/cart/index.php?cPath=48_103 Just like all my endeavors trying to find hard to find parts for my truck, I found a source for those fittings out of state about a month later. I won't even talk about the fittings that I had custom machined for my IC temperatures at $115 each (two total) when I couldn't find 3/4" barbed fittings ANYWHERE. Found them at the *little* local hardware store for less than $2 a piece two weeks later :evil: .

I took the fitting with the kit stuffed as much wire through it as i could (so it would not kink) and bent it into a 90* angle, it was a little risky, but as I could not use the fitting, who cares if it didnt work :D well it ended up being a perfect mandrel (looking) bend.
and it only took me a couple of minutes to do :tup:

Even though that *may* work, I wouldn't recommend it. If that brass fitting got fatigued to the point it may cut loose at any time, is the risk of starving your transmission of lubrication and burning it up worth a $10 fitting?

i dont think there is that much fatigue, i couldnt even bend it back by hand if i needed to. i wouldnt do it again if i knew I was going to need the part, i would go buy the part, but as it was 12 midnight and i havent driven the truck in 7 months i wanted to get it on the road. 3 months later still have no probs with my home made 90
