Trans searching............

It's not really a problem but when the truck gets to 5th gear and cruising at about 60 or 65 mph, it sometimes feels like it is searching between 4th and 5th gear. Does this sound like some sort of adjustment or something? 4th and 5th gear are still strong and have no slip at all. :dunno:

Actually, there are only 4 gears in our trannies. Back to the question. It could be that your torque converter is locking and unlocking causing it to feel like it's shifting gears...

Oh yeah, If it really is shifting between gears it could simple like that your TV cable is out of adjustment. One of the Tranny guru's can probably come up with some other ideas..

the converter lockup point is determined by the chip in the truck. so which chip do you have? stock is anywhere from 35mph-72mph depending on TPS and load factor and coolant temp.
