transcooler fittings question (stock lines)

Mephisto

These trucks are cursed
I'm going cheap and lazy by hooking up the transcooler and keeping the stock lines (for now).

i got the B&M all mounted up, and I have the -6AN fittings for the cooler with barbed fittings for "push on" hose (not going steel braided).

I searched on here and found some good write ups that had part numbers for all of the fittings but i couldn't find anything for a female NPT to -6AN fitting that would hook up to the stock hard line. There's a hot rod shop in town and the guy there didn't have ANY female NPT to AN fittings at all and said I'd have to go with a brass fitting and a hose clamp (which I don't really want to do.

This is the fitting that screws into the radiator, correct?

Anyone know of a fitting that will connect to the stock line, or is the guy at the shop right and I'll have to go brass until I decide to replace the lines altogether?

Im kinda looking for the same thing but puts a 90 degree turn on it. I need all the room I can get with my 4" turbo elbow.

Re: transcooler fittings question (stock lines)

The threads for 5/16 inverted flare fittings are 1/2"x20 so the o-ring type will thread into the cooler in the radiator. The way they seal is different, the o-ring might seal if it doesn't bottom out before the o-ring can seat.

The 1/2" NPT is a pipe fitting that tapers to seals. It's a lot larger than 1/2", more like 7/8"
