Transfercase parts

Does any body know of any company that sells all the bearings for the transfercase other than GM they are way to much money Thanks

yes and good place that sells diff parts can get them as well. if you cant find them pm me and I can get them for you.

Transtar and Dacco both carry them.

Transtar has a catalog online that you can go through and pick out what you need.

Thanks alot guys for all your help ! My chain did have some slop in it when I took it apart sprockets a little wore but I will go with them .Also what model number is this transfer case ?

is the vicous clutch in the TC. how do you fix that. where do you get one?

yeah, i changed the chain also as it had MUCHO slop. like new now.

the VC is in the xcase and you dont fix it. it's a sealed unit and you must replace it if you suspect it's bad. you can get them from the same ppl that sell all the other xcase parts but be prepared to spend some $$$.

how do you know when the visicous clutch is bad? is there ways to test?

took my case apart tonight since it was out anyway while Im waiting for my 4l80 parts.was hoping to just reseal it but I noticed the front bushing roasted along with the stub shaft that rides in that bushing all blue and heat cracks starting to form. the case half where the bushing sits is a little rough looking,bushing must have been spinning a bit.
anyway,short story long. the shaft is discontinued thru gm. is the there aftermarket shafts available or should I just wait to find someone with a used case.As far as I know the old astros and bravadas used the same bw case so maybe one will pop up on ebay.god these trucks

Yep. Sorry it took so long. Dillon got bronchitis and shared it with me....goody. You'll get one box that weighs 40 pounds and another that's a little longer that has the prop,crossmember, and shiftercable in it. I'll email you your invoice and some other things.
