Trip set replacement.

Where can I get one? GM said you have to buy the whole cluster. I have my cluster out now and want to replace the trip set before I put it back in. It worked last year but somewhere down the road it would stop turning at xxxx miles. Any help is appreciated.

i have one that doesn't work also....if you find a cure before anyone chimes in please post what you did to fix it.

I always thought that your Typhoon actually needed to move in order for this guage to increment?

Anyone know if a Jimmy/Blazer/S10/S15/Sonoma cluster has the same trip odo? If so, I bet you could just swap out that piece.

aren't all the non-digital clusters the same as the Saudi Sy's. Their reset switch is offset differently from the trip meter than ours is. Maybe the meat of the meter is the same though :dunno:

Ild be willing to bet that trip set's are pretty generic. I could be wrong though.

go to gmc and ask them who fixes there clusters, then go there and have it fixed. by me its a place in addison, il called d & b audio they are the only ones that are certified to work on gm clusters.

A friend of my dads is having the same problem with his TTA. He doesnt want to replace the cluster because it will have the wrong mileage and its a low mileage car. Definately post up what fixes it because they might have the same problem.

Get a cluster out of a sunbird. Same guts. If you want a permanent solution, use the guys Jason mentioned. They can fix about anything.
