Hi!
I have a problem,
On my scanmaster 3 i see a solid 1,9 kr sometimes it goes down to 1,2 kr for just a milli-second. I have has problems with her because when i floor it it gets "laggy" like shaking and the kr goes up! I have changed all vacuum lines, new rotor&cap, Taylor cables, NGK ur5, she go better att half wot than full wot, fuelfilter. This 1,9 kr come yesterday after i changed vacuumlines from sportmachine kit, 3bar map, velosyty chip and the Taylor cables, the car go better but going from KR and shugging at WOT to a solid 1,9kr all the time seeing it from Scan master 3 after the changes. I have the timing set at 0.

Can someone please help me?! Please!
And is the boost on the scanmaster trust-able? Because i only got to about 8~?
I have turnerpro rt now (donated) and Im gonna hook her up but Im not really sure How to do it.

Thanks guys, Im loost here!

Do you have the stock chip properly piggy backed to the velosyty chip?

Re: Trouble with 1,9 KR all the time

Teddy, have you checked the code? My guess would be that its a code 43, ESC malf. Are you seeing KR around 2 even at idle? My guess would be the knock sensor is incorrect, as most places list the wrong one for our trucks, or the is a fault in the circuit. You can test the circuit by checking the voltage between the knock sensor connector and the neg terminal on the battery. You should have between 4-6 volts with the key in the on position. If you do, I would replace the knock sensor. If you have more or less than that, check the wiring harness to the ECM HTH

I dont really know How to check codes when i cant get connected to turnerpro, is it possible via scanmaster some how? Yes its a solid 1,9 KR at idel aswell. Thank you so so much! I will check that tomorrow!

The scanmaster displays malfunction codes.

What kind of chip is your old one, the original stock chip?

Re: Trouble with 1,9 KR all the time

If you did not have this problem before with the factory chip, then I would inspect closely how the stock chip is attached to the Velosyty chip, and make sure nothing is damaged on the stock chip.

If all else fails, I can send another chip to make sure there isn't a bad connection on the Velosyty board.

Yes, this as well, check to make sure the chip is installed properly and seated. You can also remove the TT chip, and put the stock chip back in, see if the problem still exists, or try to narrow it down.

Re: Trouble with 1,9 KR all the time

Hey again! So sorry it took a while to get back, Many things have come in the way but the problem stil remains and i really need you guys expertice and help!

Im still having problem with my 93 Typhoon. Ive wrote it again, little cleaner then earlier!

The car runs great when shes cold and i cant notice any problems but when she gets to operation heat the problem starts.

When i floor it (100% WOT) she loses all power when it shifts to second gear, and stop accelerate?¿ its the same feeling/symptoms like when fuel cuts out. And the scanmaster 3 shows a constant 1,9 KR..

Ive been trying to solve this mystery by changing things, ill write down everything but i know some of it dosnt matter to the problem but anyhow, see the list below:

That whay could have caused this:
-Cap & rotor
-Taylor ignition cables
-New NGK ur5 plugs, gapped .35
-255 walboro fuel pump
-New fuelfilter
-60lbs fuel injectors (Eric/turbotweak)
-Msd ignition coil
-Racetronix hotwire kit
-Sportmachines vacuum kit
-Billet AFPR
-3 bar map sensor
-Velosyty chip (Eric/turbotweak)
-EGR block
-Changed hose between the charge violer and the turbo & the hose between chargecooler & throttel body
-Have set timing to 0 with the tan wire unplugged
-Set fuelpressure to 42psi with vacuum off

Other things:
-ITG cold air filter
-Johnson cm30p7 intercooler pump
-Rubber hoses to intercooler

I bought the car like this so i dont know what happend when this started.. but the previous owner told me she was running great and then this just happend? When i bought her the old owner told me he thought it was the turbo > chargecooler hose that needed a change but that wasnt the case... Im start getting a big headache from this, can someone please help me or give me some ideas? Im beggining you'all!

"My thoughts & questions"

-One thing Ive been thinking about is if it could be something to do with the cat? If its done/caput and can maby be causing this?

-Any pointers in a tuning software? Ive been looking for datamaster but i cant get a hold of it anywhere? I have Turnerpro RT (donated user/version) but i havnt got it to work/connect with the car so i dont have any log while driving.

I really need help and i appreciate all the pointers i can get! Thank you so much!

Re: Trouble with 1,9 KR all the time

(EDIT: the velosyty chip and the stock is installed correct, the constant 1,9kr showed after i installed the velosyty, Eric? Do you know? And when i only use the stock the 1,9kr disapear and i get higher kr when second gear jumps in, the same time as the problems start)

Your going to have to figure out how to get a log. Did you go to the turbo tweak support board and follow Eric's instructions he has under the syty thread on how to set up tuner pro RT 5 and connect turner pro? His instructions also show how to make sure your cable is being detected by your laptop com port.

Re: Trouble with 1,9 KR all the time

Update!
Got a hold of the previous older that owned her when the problems started!
He told me that he was racing and just before up-shift to 3rd gear the boost gauge started to flutter and he lost all the boost pressure..

Since then she's been like this. Meaning when she up-shift to 2nd gear and the boost is rising she goes like crap, do not accelerate and the while car is glitterkonfetti/getting laggy, Did this info help any? Any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: Trouble with 1,9 KR all the time

internal damage?/ blow by? the engine in my sy has like 300k mile on it (junkyard pull out) anyways its very warn out i have changed everything i can think of. on anything more than 15 psi i breaks up and flutters baddddddd smells like fuel ect.... finally set it back to WG spring pressure (12psi pulls good here) and just accepted that the engine is just to warn out to hold any kind of real boos pressure just blowing it past the rings....

how many miles on yours?

Another thing!
last time i was working on ther was that i discovered that i could move the distributor by hand, the bolt that holds it down was loose.. i just got this idea right now that what if the distributor is turned and not being in the correct place? I Remember that all i did when i discovered it was to set timing with the tan cable un-plugged then harden the bolt? I never turned/moved the distributor. Can that be causing that she runs really bad from 2nd gear and up?
