chech wiring to the oil pressure sending unit. most gm vehicles use the oil pressure sending unit to tell the processor to shut of the fuel pump if the it doesn't read any pressure after a while, so that if you get in an accident or something happens, the pump doesn't keep running. i don't remember what colors the wire was. had that issue when i was trying to break the 327 i put in my first s-10.
