Truck sounds like a giant fan

My typhoon at start up sounds like a giant fan or a prop plane on take off and continues for a few minutes. My old ty did this once in a while when it was hot and humid out. This one does it alot. Why? Is it a sign the fan/clutch is on it's way out? What causes it to sound like like this anyway?

thats is the normal sound that the fan clutch makes. as long as it goes away your fine. if it continues after the first few minutes then your clutch is locked and should be replaced.

Is it a whine or a whistle? I have a high pitched whistle after start-up that lasts a minute or two on the Ty. It's especially noticeable when it's cold outside.

i just replaced the fan clutch on my 95 blazer.. the old one was silent, probably because it didn't work..

the new clutch, makes it sound like an airplane when under 2000 rpms.

Mine started doing this too about a month ago it really does sound like an airplane it concerned me at first but went away quickly, so is it because of the colder weather? I never noticed it on hot summer days. It also does it if i haven't ran it for about a week or so.

yep normal, mine does it, as well as some of my friends cars, As long as it goes away.

Flexlite fans sould like an airplane at higher RPM's, its cool to hear one every once and awhile but never would own one. (way to loud)
