Re: TTTyphoon

Yeah I have been holding my tongue, basically contracts on others parts were not fulfilled and now I am building a motor myself. All I have for now is planning on l92 heads built 6.0 bottem end ls3 intake and lots and lots of boost. lol.

Also plan to be changing to an 4l80e, since I will not be receiving the built 6 speed unit either.

Back to progress I am actually buying parts this week, and hopefully picking up a block in the next couple weeks and going to start putting the motor together.

Truck has taken to long and come to far to give up on it.

Re: TTTyphoon

So did you get stuck paying for a lot of the work that was already done that was supposed to be sponsored?

Re: TTTyphoon

All the work done was out of my pocket. Thus far I have a set of wheels and a couple other items, that I will apperently not be receiving either even though I have cash into a couple of those items as well. :(

Contracts are in place for a reason and I held up to my end of the bargain. But the truck will still be a twin turbo ls powered monster when all said and done.

thanks for the interest. Hows your blazer project coming?

Let's hope the oil pump doesn't go bipolar on this one...

Re: TTTyphoon

That is alot of work, looks good. Where did you get the fuel tank ? Does it fit in stock location ?

Thanks.

Re: TTTyphoon

The cell is custom built and sumped by a friend of mine, it is fit around the coil over shock upper bar and we are using the mounting locations on the frame rails instead of a strap setup.

And thanks lots of time into it but it will pay off soon

Re: TTTyphoon

sorta yes and sorta no. Obviously there is a former parts supplier/sponsor that may or may not be going bankrupt. That being said I am building my own motor, and the truck will now have a 4l80e going into it. So once winter break hits we are going to be starting that part of the project.

And yes its in the back yard and yellow as ever.

Re: TTTyphoon

picked up a 99 silverado 3/4 ton... I think it will make a good parts truck. SO the project is finally back on.

You're never gonna get all of that stuff wedged into the airport shop.

There was a guy on a farm south of town renting heated shop space....

Your fitment issues with the LSX block should go away, on the plus side.

I'm still looking for a welder, whenever you get back up here.

Nah be finishing it in the cities, and sorry holidays are crazy I will be there next week with bells on.

And yes I am planning to use the 6.0 for a block.

So there you go. Yay!:rotf:

I think I am just going to buy a new block at this point, so the parts truck is kind of a waste. But oh well at least there is progress again.;)
