Re: Tubular 2wd control arms

Someone please explain this to me? They are for 2WD trucks (not SyTy) but will fit SoGT?

Why do you need 2 right handed ones? Where do they go? Are they uppers or do they both go on the RHS? Sorry for being dense.

Hint: They're for circle track cars.

THere made for left hander cars, something to Do with suspention on them so one side it longer then other.. Just happened to be one of the sides 'right' is a perfect size fit for the s10s

Sonoma gt trucks are 2wd you get two upper right sides and put one in place of each upper on either side because the right sides are the exact same size as the factory ones

Nice.

8" long right side, 8.5" long left side, my guess is with big drops 2 left side arms would work wonders at fixing bad camber too

Re: Tubular 2wd control arms

The mounting system between 2wd and 4wd is COMPLETELY different.

4wd, bolt goes through the bushing, bolting the arm to the frame. On the 2wd the arm is mounted to a cross shaft that runs through the bushings, the cross shaft then itself bolts to the frame behind the coil bucket on the inside of the frame rail. 2wd alignments are done by inserting shims between the cross shaft and the frame.

I don't know if the cross shaft could just be removed and the arms just bolted in place, but I think the 2wd arms are MUCH wider bushing to bushing than the 4wd arms, a bit longer overall too iirc.

The 2wd S-10 suspension is near identical to the g-body suspension (Monty Carlo, etc), which is why these arms work as g-bodies have been hacked into circle track cars for years.

Got them in and I have to say the truck handles a lot better with the new control arms and new ball joints
