Tuning in nj

I have a lightly modded truck and have not been able to get it just right. I'm getting a slight detonation and I really need a data master I think but instead of buying one does anyone in north jersey have one? I will pay you to diagnose my truck so know how to tweak it to run right. Another option Is there any shops or known tuners on the east coast I can bring my truck to?

Got a book/manual?

First couple things to check would be spark plug wires, Plugs (gap), Timing, Fuel condition, fuel pressure.

Move on to the hoses/vac systems look them over. Just a suggestion.

Next suggestion is to JUMP out the ALDL and see if it has any codes.

No codes , everything is new, motor and everything you mentioned have 1k miles on it. Guy was a good motor builder not a tuner . Really need someone to hook it up to a data master. I think my blue top injectors might be he issue

Same boat here, I'm in Central Illinois.....my rig is bone stock, but I think there is some performance, and overall driveability to be gained from a nice tune.

There are people in PA (and a few in NJ) who can do this. I can't volunteer their services, but perhaps they will chime in when available.

If not, maybe you can bring it to Carlisle and we all benefit from watching a tuning session?

There are two guys I know of. Harry Anderson and you can also contact Paul Vaughn at Modern Muscle he is in Shsmong right near Atco raceway. Pm me for more info
