First off all Thanks to Ashman for hooking me up with a Moates adapter!
I just got back from a 72 mile ride and I have to give it a :tdown:
Idling:
The truck starts fine and idles well, but there is a smell similar to a car running very rich. No smoke of soot from the pipe, but letting it idle for a minute- you can really smell it.
Driving:
First of all the first boost limit is still in place. I specifically asked for it to be removed. Driving normally, there is no difference between the Pitbull and this one. I can tell the difference when I shift neutral and let the truck coast. The pitbull drops the rpms very low and the truck struggles to stay running. It has stalled a few times. The Top line chip does not do this.
Wide open throttle is where I have concerns. The first time I stomped it from a 30 mph roll, the engine started bucking and cutting up at around 3k rpms. I pulled over and switched chips back to the pitbull and repeated the run with no bucking at all. I had a full tank of gas so this was not fuel slosh. I pulled over and put the Top Line chip back. I repeated the test and had the same problem. That ended the acceleration tests for me. I am not comfortable running the chip at the track, so I am sending it to Ashman to let him read it.

You should have deff data logged every aspect of that chip especially before stomping on it.. still interested on how it compares to the cheesy shitty chips like hypertech, magnum, etc so hopefully man checks er out good

Don't have a datamaster. I am going for a subjective comparison. I'll get it to ashman so he can read the Bin. I drove for 30 miles on the highway and back roads before getting on it.

i just read this whole thread start to beginning and i couldnt help but laugh! We all knew what this chip would do! He just bought software for generic tuning. Probably works fine on a stock N/A vehicle. Well you guys gave him a chance and we all knew what the outcome was gonna be! NO MEANS NO!!!

The chip has been sent off so some syty experts who have read it. Maybe they will chime in with what they found.

maybe Dig or Jeff can give some insight, as they have seen the code. I've looked at the code also and was suprised by the number of changes made from the stock chip. two items i noted was an increase in timing, across the board, of 2.11 degrees and a significant increase in desired boost pressure.
