Re: Tuning timing

Look guys, I dont knwo what I did or am doing wrong but, in the Target box on DM and TP, it shows me a target. i.e., it doesnt move. At part throttle driving it shows me 14:7 and under boost it shows me 12:1. I am using the BIN Dig posted up recently so i knw hte patch is right, Im pretty sure I hooked up the WB correctly. Do I need to adjust, turn on/off something to make it see the WB data?

That is in Diacom, but its still a data field that Tuner Pro & Datamaster should have.

Virtually every scan tool should display it. Sometimes called AFR desired, sometimes AFR target.

Which one (specifically) did you use? I'll double check 'em, but it sounds like it isn't patched properly.

It's just a six said:
Are you saying that timing value total is the norm? Stock Ty? If not,,,, what is the approx norm?

Very much not the norm.... I only burned it that way so it didn't blow itself up. I never really expected that kind of performance out of it.

Goes to show, what you think will work, and what really does, are two different things. And it's never the same on different trucks.

More typical is in the range of 14-16 degrees on cheap 91. 93-94 I've gone as high as 18-19.
I've had some 93 that I couldn't get to 13 degrees. Pump it out, put 92 in, 14 degrees.

I no longer trust gas quality from *anywhere*, save for race gas from a barrel.

I know your ultimate works... I tested that on the bench. Give that a try.

Re: Tuning timing

Im using Tuner Pro. I used the Bins youposted a couple weeks ago and even some I patched myself. Is it possible for the patch to go away when transfering files to TP? I will try the Ultimate. See if htat works.

Re: Tuning timing

I dont know if this helps, but if you look at the "simple digital systems" website, they have an article on how to tune for timing.

Re: Tuning timing

Where can I get the patch for $58Code?
I just installed my WB and I need to patch TunerPro so I can be sure it is working corectly.

Maybe I am missing something here.... I dunno.... I just want to be able to see the numbers on the screen.

Thanks
