I'd reccomend isolating the fuel pump circuit if its possible while your there, or at least look into it.

Or look into a racetronix hotwire. In some cases the higher amp/lph pumps draw more power and blow fuses. On syclone/typhoon the computer fuse blows and could be a real mother f-er.

What did you do with the PTE turbo you had on the the engine, the first photo looks like its a pte turbo.

I think I have the same turbo on my typhoon judging by the larger looking WG actuator and no provision for the boost solenoid. I'm not sure who makes it, I couldn't ID it just looks like a stock replacement?

Good luck, keep chiseling away at it.

I snapped the shaft trying to get the cold side wheel off. The previous owner bent one of the blades and I wasn't going to trust it. I spent hours trying to find a CHRA or equivalent, but there are too many and with little manufactures markings, it was a pain. There were a couple mangled bolts on the exhaust side as well. Just said screw it and went with a new unit.

Got a welder coming by the house tomorrow to cut/notch my cross member, since there's no way for me to easily reposition the engine either forward or up without causing other issues. Also have to work on splicing the harness to the get the length I need to make it to the bulkhead connector and not get melted on the downpipe. Still trying to track down what I need to mate up on the El Camino side of the dash to get things working.

Got to the wiring today, unloomed several connectors since I don't have Antilock and the 200r4 doesn't have a speed sensor.

Nice! How is the down pipe routing working out in the G body? Going A2A for intercooler? Installed solid motor mounts already? What are you using for cooling system?

The down pipe hits my control arm, so that will have to get modded, the PO had expanded to 3" pipe, so that has be worked around as well. I'm just trying to get it running to get to the shop to have that work done.
Right now, sticking with the stock intercooler, no solid mounts, just installed new Elky mounts. Using the elky radiator, which will need some slight modding for heating

Got her back together, she turns over, but doesn't fire. I'm not powering CKT 440 (orange to ECM) so fuel pump isn't getting turned on along with the rest of the ECM. Is this a switched ckt or constant?

N/M, it's a constant, i see that from the prints, just had to look at the right drawing! She cranks, but doesn't fire completely, going back to check the firing order, wires, timing. I get smoke out of the breather, so something is trying to happen.

Smoke out the top = blow by or open valves or ?? Most likely, timing is off. Did you set TDC using the second mark on the balancer ? Glad it is almost running!
I'm interested how it turns out. The G body is pretty close to F body's dimensions. Wonder how this engine would fit in a Firebird.

The strut towers are the issue in the f bodies, g body has way more room

I had the dizzy 180 out, she's running now. Have a couple small coolant leaks to chase down. And she's idling awfully high, but that may just be fast idle until she warms up. CEL is on constantly too, but I can't it to flash any codes.
