Ty 1149 Found

and it's in Brazil!

I've been talking to another S-Series owner from there and today he took it for a test drive. He said the suspension was sloppy and the engine was pretty gutless. To bad he didn't get more pics of the body..looks like part of the cladding is laying inside.

Re: Ty 1149 Found

it seems kind of kicked, might be a good parts donor since it sounds like the suspention is pretty worn and the engine is on its last leg:( , or a good project for someone whos ambitious and has some $$ for some TLC

Re: Ty 1149 Found

He said their roads aren't that great so I guess that's taken its toll on the suspension. Most of the cars exported to Brazil sit higher than ours here in the states because of that. We've figurd out that the 2 wheel drive S10s that are sent down there are based on 4x4 frames just so they'll have more ground clearance.

Re: Ty 1149 Found

Just got registered.

Hi, i´m new here. I took those pics that Smallblock posted here.

That red thing is an aftermarket blow off valve. The owner used to improove the turbo whistle.

The owner of this Ty, haves lots of money and dont care much for this truck. He drives some V8´s BMWs. So he just dont want it anymore and it is for sale. I think thats why he didn´t put a oil cap to avoid sucking dust.

2 questions.

Was the truck running when that dash pic was taken? If so its got no oil pressure.

Second, What is that switch under the sig lighter?

If you look closely, its under the pin, so it had flipped.

That switch is on all Typhoon for the rear hatch.

Looks WAY better than it did when it was for sale.
But how does it run?

is anyone down there still involved with this site? http://roggero.sites.uol.com.br/

Captain, I don't know Gilberto Roggero in person but I found him on Orkut, kind of a High 5. He is a very nice guy who loves our trucks. He owned the Ty that I currently own but his real passion was the Syclone that he ran 11.49 on a track without any traction! It was impressive, for us in Bz, to have a truck running those times down there.
I still don't know how many trucks were exported to Bz, but they say around 12 Typhoon and maybe 6 Syclone...I don't know...

Re: Ty 1149 Found

I know him either.

After I found this Ty, I sent some pics to him, and he said that didn't knew this one. I also sent him the VIN code.

So he talked about the ones he know in Brazil, and I've heard about yours, PBrito28 !

Yeah, it sure looks better than when I was for sale. I only drove it when it was for sale, and I can tell you guys the suspention was very bad, no front wheel drive (it only runs rear wheel), brakes blocks only front left tire too easy, and the engine, no power at all, I think that my stock S10 4.3 runs better.
