wtf? thats like trading in pam anderson with a missing leg for the local fatty, defintly not worth it.

a ty is better in every aspect, besides the current price being higher on a tbss.

the only way i would do it is if i could sell the TBSS, and buy back the ty, then mod the crap outta the ty. free money.

I finally went and drove the TBSS. From 0-30 the Ty would own it (although I didn't launch it). From 30-70 watchout. It won't take a modded truck but I'd say it'd beat most stock trucks.

The wife is going to drive it on Monday

I am not sure if this has been mentioned but the SS has had a large amount of problems... A friend of mine was planning on buying one and didnt after reading up on horror stories about it, from where, i do not know.

I've had my TBSS (AWD) since 11/9/05 with no problems so far, 1500 miles. Out of curiousity, what did he read that was bad? I bought it for the sole purpose of towing my Typhoon, sold my Subaru WRX for the TBSS as an everyday vehicle. Raced a 350Z from a streetlight and beat him by 1/2 car up to 100mph. The only downfall about the TBSS is that it gets roughly 11.5mpg city, 15 highway - no where near the sticker ratings.

It seems like it would make a good driver, beside the gas mileage. I would be concerned about that transmission holding up to mods though...

I agree. I believe they beefed up the transmission alittle but not sure how much hp/torque it could take. Thinking about putting a STS Turbo on it and see if I'll get better gas milage and more grins. Maybe next year's project.

You're going to put a turbo on it to get better gas mileage? How does that work?
