Typhoon #0057 project and fun

Hello all,
I decided it was time to share my story regarding 1993 Typhoon #0057. I purchased the truck from my father last year and have been fortunate enough to make some big upgrades in the last year.
The truck has the following mods currently
-PTE 6235r bb turbo
-RPM 3" dp
-TT chip
-60lb injectors
-SM lower intercooler
-custom upgraded upper intercooler
-complete JSM coilover kit front and rear with 4 link (so amazing!)

Below is a link of a video we just took yesterday of the truck launching in its current state. Very happy with how it is performing and I can not say enough good things about the JSM suspension. By far the best upgrade done to the truck!



Plans for this winter are pretty aggressive, but most parts have already been acquired.
-Vortec heads
-Steve Morris custom cam
-Holley Dominator
-4l80e
-E85
-PTE 6266
-4 bolt mains, eagle rods, CP Carrillo custom pistons .030 over

I was expecting some interest in the upper intercooler. I am very happy with how it turned out and has proven to be more efficient than factory.

The upper started as a $150 unit from frozenboost. Link is below

A friend helped me make the oval port to match the factory throttle body and add a filler neck. We also welded a bracket on the bottom that utilizes all 3 stock mounting points.

Note that this will not work with A/C

I have not been to a track but hope to make it this fall. Currently running 25lbs boost on stock longblock and it feels strong. I guess my goal on this setup as is sits is to get into the 11's. May or may not happen!?

Best I could get outa that setup before Heads and cam was 12.1. But ran like 20psi 18* timing.

You should be able to beat it since you're running 5psi more than I was. I was running a 63mm at the time with Meth.

I like the custom upper too. Where the hell do you fill it w/o adding the custom fill tube you added? I see you got more than one.....planning on doing another? Price? I bet many would be interested if the price it right. LMK.

Just returned from the drag strip for the first time and had a blast. Super happy with how the truck performed. I went in with the goal of breaking into the 11s and ended up running an 11.59 and 11.60. Video and time slips below.

Any chance that I am knocking on the door of the stock longblock record for a Typhoon?
