Five years later and reminiscing about the Ty, I thought I would see if there was ever any updates on it. What a long strange trip that Ty, my old Ty, has been on. To think it sold at a State Auction less 10 miles from where I was living at the time....ARGH!! But it is good to find that it was not butchered up. I can also attest to the hole in the bed probably being from the fuel pump replacement...it always made funny noises when I had it and I still have a new one sitting in a box for when it died! Just search for all my posts if you want to learn about all the fun I had with it.

My oldest daughter, who turned 16 today, learned to drive in that truck :D
That would explain the dent that was in the front passenger-side fender when I bought it! ;)

wow.... been a long time I ended up trading it to a guy for a mustang and some cash i think? I forget its been 2.5-3 years. I had a couple of kids to I had to sell it but I miss it alot..... it is still in great hands.... I had paint work done to it and some rust fixed... ect. I also had fun blowing out the front drive shaft lol :)

Sorry...Had to dig this up. Insurance needed the actual VIN number since they lost all our infomation on it.
We have a IND(Indiana VIN number replacement) tag not a actual stock VIN.

Ahh.. how far this truck has come and what a long history it has had.

Now it's actually in good hands :) Until Jimmy steals it again Lol.

I know that VIN 1GDCT18Z2N0810147

my email is typhoon147@charter.net

Besides the hood, what else did you replace?

I fixed the rust on top of both front fenders, tailgate, had it undercoated, rust wasn't real bad.but it was a chi-town truck.

History lesson: sold new Halloween of '91.Supposedly first Ty sold in Chicago :dunno:

Talked to Original owner he said awlays scared it was gonna get stolen.

Traded it in on a brand new '95 Lumina

Re: TYPHOON #0147 STOLEN!

Thanks Jimmy!

Since I know you speak your mind freely I know it's the truth :)

The engine is good rods/pistons vortec's the Intake plenum creation I made to ballance the air flow.

PTE 61DBB turbo I made the downpipe.. FMIC FAST XFI. Still stock trans and converter and front/rear

ends. I have a built transmisison for when the factory one fails. It's not liking the extra power on the

shifts at the moment.. they kind of slide into the next gear. I still have a long "Hunny Do" List but it's

coming around.

I'll send you my address for the keys. I think the ignition would be different since the colomn is not

a factory Ty. The door key might work... It's worth a shot!

Bought a lumina.. Bwwaahaaa.. Wonder what that new lumina is worth now~!

Thanks again,
Scott~
