I had my throttle get stuck on me as well, which caused me to nearly rearended someone. Turns out, it was indeed my aftermarket floormats that weren't adjusted and secured....
Glad your alright though...

That wreck is shockingly similar to one of our FL guys back in 98-99 when he got T-boned by an econoline van. To give you some depth, the passenger door is so pushed in that when the Ty got hit, Cory the driver...his head bounced off the passenger side window seal.

The paseenger door is what hit me in the side. I'm sore this morning but I'm happy to be alive the other driver din't even try to stop, It might have been around 55 when he hit me, ther were no skid marks. I'm lucky. Everyone have a safe Christmas.

A friend's inlaws had a truck come through their living room, backing up from the driveway across the street. The truck smashed through their brick wall, obliterated the recliner, and got stopped by the back side of the kitchen counter. The living room carpet had tire burnout marks that wore all the way through to the concrete where the truck came to a halt.

I wasn't there when it happened, but they called me over to see it before the wrecker came. The floor mat was on top of the gas pedal.

Man, what a crappy way to go into the holidays ... Glad to hear that you're OK ! I had my throttle stick open once on the highway in my syclone. I was about to kill the ignition when out of desperation, I mashed the gas pedal to the floor and that freed it up. Which was a good thing because I was approaching a red light at close to 100 MPH and rear ending another car at that velocity would have been bad. A few others on here have had this happen to them as well. It will give you one HELL of a scare if it happens to you...

I might start all over again, But I'm leaning more toward getting a diesel again. Well it lurched out of the driveway at work and I couldnt get my feet back to the pedals and I was all over the place with the steering wheel. I couldn't save it. I will let you know If I'm parting out or rebuilding. I just got Tbones hitch and about to put it on this weekend.

The mat in my Sy has done the same thing several times. It scared the shit out of me every time. I ended up using industrial velcro to hold it in place.

Glad your OK, and yes it is just a truck. I know it sucks but it can be replaced. You can't!

Yikes, that was close. I am glad you are all right.

Here is something that I have been using for a long long time to hold my mats in place. I got them at Pepboys. I don't know if they still carry them or not, but they could save a life.

The mat in my Sy has done the same thing several times. It scared the shit out of me every time. I ended up using industrial velcro to hold it in place.
