Typhoon in GMHTP

That's not possible! His truck is white and we never put black or white vehicles in GMHTP and we hate SyTys and Brandon's truck is too slow and it doesn't have the right wheels and we all really drive fords......

I asked people on this board to send in letters to Street Heat and we would run them in the magazine. That had to have been nearly six months ago. So far, Brandon is the only one who took me up on the offer.

I'll write something if I think of something funny to say. I don't know about a picture though. I guess since most people don't know that all my Syclones and Typhoons aren't running, they just look like they are parked. It could just say, "Brian Hartman is just one example of what a wacked out passion for GM cars can do to a guy and his neighborhood." It looks like I'm having a convention of one with me and all my friend...me. But it is more like a SyTyGN graveyard. The real caption would read, "So Brian, what have you done to these vehicles...." "We'll I pretty much parked them in numberical order as they broke, and see, if you dream hard enough, you can break all your toys too. Anybody selling a nice fast 10 second GN in good working order, or maybe a tow truck?" I think only one of the four Syclones works and one of the two Typhoons works, one of the GNs kinda goes (goes boom would be more like it) and my baby....that damn 440-6 '73 Cuda that I can't find a front grill for (soon to be Pro streeted wearing 2-4 turbos on a stroked EFI Hemi...or maybe one of those stupid huge 800ci Godzilla motors Chrysler thinks people need. Some wicked exhaust running 8 turbos...Sounds like something right out of the Monster Truck Smackdown Thursday Nitro Extreme...federation or whatever, which means another car that will never get done) Point being that to the unsuspecting eye, it looks like I'm having a nice get together instead of just ticking off these snobbish neighbors in their uppity little neighborhood, better know as my new suburban test track

Or maybe a caption that says, "See? This is what happens when you brilliant idea to get a backup vehicle that is the exact same vehicle with the same inherent problems. You thought you didn't have time to fix one vehicle"

Or

"This is what happens when your brilliant idea to get another similar vehicle to trickle down your performance parts onto. Then the cost of the maintance starts taking all your mod funds if not all your time...hey, if your are not careful, you'll end up with two or more really slow performance vehicles with lots of go fast goodies that look really nice on the shelves in the basement. You turn into an armchair mechanic with life like object to stare mindlessly at as you dream of bustin' off a couple of high 3 second quarter miles and blowin' Mustang after Mustang into the weeds.

Ahhhh.. fuzzy Hot Wheels pajamas always makes it all feel real.

Yeeeeeah....shiny...cool...Drool....ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Thanks Brian for having a Sy/Ty mecca less than 2 miles from me. FWIW, I think you have the coolest address in the snobbish neighborhood. Clark.

See... I know this feeling so very very well.
Sharing a house and garage with a fellow car nut just makes this problem so much worse.

I've got the Typhoon (with slipping tranny, but plenty drivable) as my daily driver because the TTA tranny is destroyed, and I didn't want the '69 Coronet R/T (with 440+6) to be driven all the time with it's various minor issues (so that one isn't even tagged currently).

My roomate's GN just sits there, and he hasn't put the Galant VR4 back together, nor his turbo Mirage. Why? because he just bought an '02 WRX wagon. Nevermind the '70 Firebird Formula 400 that sits in pieces in the back of the garage.

No, I'm not BS'ing anyone. That's the current state of our fleet. *sigh*

Oh yeah, I have a 78 Jeep CJ7 in storage that will get a Sy engine with the Twin Turbo setup if I'm ambious...see, there I go again. I just put the touch of death on that project.

Hey, at least your buddy get a warranty on the WRX...at least until he starts messing with it...how long did it take? A couple a days before he blew by the warranty disclaimers?

Jeez, Clark. You'd think we see each other more but heck I hardly see anyone.

But I talk to them on the phone for about 12 hours everyday!

He keeps insisting that he's not going to mod the WRX, yet it took less than two weeks before he had a short throw shifter put in. Hmmm...

I just want him to put the Galant back together so I can put the TTA in the garage so I can fix it.

I don't know how you guys do it with fixing and modifying multiple cars. 2 cars and mods took up a lot of my time, so much that I sold one of them. After a while I forgot about that and bought a Sy.

See... that's the point. We don't fix and modify multiple cars. We just drive them until they break and then buy something similar as a driver so we can fix the other one. But the driver breaks so we buy buy something similar as a driver so we can fix the other one. But the driver breaks so we buy buy something similar as a driver so we can fix the other one. I wanna come to your house.

Damn, I really want a big garage like you guys have........ I am jealous.

I have 3 cars right now. Planning on getting Ford Powerstroke Diesel truck, something like 93 or 94.

Anyways, I am working on my Typhoon with little things. I just drilled a hole on the front differential case to make a drain plug for it, so its not driveable now.

My 68 mustang has been in the shop for long time and should be coming home this week, hopefully! (This isn't the first time I heard it from the shop....ehhh!)

My 70 Caddy convertible is resting in the garage in my roomate's dad's garage. How nice of him, but he is living in mexico in another house, heh heh.

I live in a house with 2 car garage, only have room for my Typhoon and roomate's acura legend. He also has a isuzu 4x4 pick-up truck that sits on the driveway as a daily driver. I borrow it all the time since I didn't have one car that was reliable....yet!

My roomate even has his own company van for work. So eventually, we'll have 6 cars sitting around. I even have some parts overflowing to the backyard patio under the roof. Sigh.....

I need to save up money to buy a house and build a big garage/shop for all the cars and toys...... Oh well......someday..... I envy you guys......
