Nice times. Glad to see some Ty's running some good numbers. I have been wondering the same thing for a while, how come its all Sy's and not to many Ty's.

I saw that, and then re-read his mod list to look for safety loops, and saw none of those either.....however strangly I didn't feel the need to comment, and thats rare as usually I comment to often.....

At any rate, it's impressive that particular piece has held togethor this long at those times.

The truck has front and rear shaft loops, they have been on there ever since the trans was rebuilt.

Yes I agree, I just cant bring myself to take it out until it breaks. I have been thinking lately that I should have a spare aftermarket one for when it does go, but havent done that yet either.

...If you don`t mind me asking, what boost did you launch at?
A 1.66 60` is pretty good with a Typhoon. Especially with stock brakes and suspension.
A 4,000 rpm stall is pretty "healthy" as well. I am assuming the front diff is still open,
and the stock posi unit is in the rear. Which is quite impressive with 4 -MT drag radials.

Congratulations

Thanks Larry. I left with 5-7psi on that 1.66 run. The next run I launched at 7-9psi and it spun the rear tire/ tires and went 1.69. The front diff is still completly stock I dont belive its ever been opened or had really any service, the rear is barely a posi unit at this time, it mostly will spin the right rear tire. By the next time I go to the track we should have the front end limiters done and I'm hoping for a high 1.5. Last year I went to a track day that was from 12-5 during the day and the truck went 1.61, 1.62 and I belive 1.63, so I know it has it in it.

Re: Ty's in the 11's?

From my expereince at NED, the track isn't the best prepped track on street nights (wed & fri). The track rental I went to, my 60's were consistant and a good 0.05 better than my good average time slip at NED (not including the bad screw ups). This is a list of every track run in my Sy. The August 15, 2004 is a track rental. The rest are at NED.

I'd have to agree Dave, but I have only had a chance to go up on those nights this year. I guess I should bite the bullet one of those days and buy some Cal Tracs or Battle Bars, but I dont feel like spending the money and time setting them up.

Re: Ty's in the 11's?

Great times!!!!!!

Having a traction problem with 4 ET radials is a good problem to have ;)
I'm looking for a set of South Side Machiene lift bars. The company went out 3yrs ago but there's got to be a set someone does not want somewhere...
I had a set on my 2wd S-10 years ago and have pictures before/after on launches. BIG difference.
I don't like Cal Trac's...
Good luck with your next passes!
What Down pipe is on your truck? Wonder if that's a limiting factor on your setup?

Thanks for the compliments Scott. I'm running a 3" ATR DP right now. Why do you say that you dont like Cal Tracs? Have you looked into the battle bars yet?
