Can you PM me when you have a date so I can look at flights into Detroit please? Can someone pick me up from the airport if I come? (And drop me off?!!!)

Can't guarantee anything though just yet..... Sounds like fun though and I can ask stoopid questions in person this time!!

Coool!!!!!

I have a wedding on the 14th in the UK (not mine otherwise I could change it for Homecoming!) but otherwise I am pretty flexible. Flights don't look so cheap though. I could get a whole CBR kit for one flight

How far is MI from CT? Might visit some friends there.

A long way. Probably 2 to 3 hours by plane; maybe 6 to 7 hours driving.

Its 10-12 hours driving (depending where in CT) Depending on what your plans are (how long you plan to visit friends) and if you bring a friend or family, you may want to think about to flying in to NY or Boston to visit your friends in CT and catch a ride out to Homecoming. I am planning on driving to Homecoming (I don't want to commit just to offer to drive you out just yet though) I also suspect that some of the NJ owners will be driving out as well.

You're right Dave... I don't know what I was thinking. 6 to 7 hours would be hauling!

Re: Updates! Check this thread out for important information!

Thanks guys. My friend is in Griswold, CT 06351. I would be alone. Maybe that is too much to drive, though if people are willing to give me a ride, I can throw some gas money their way and share the driving?

My plan would be to come over for about a week, maybe two depending on who else is around/free. It is still dependent on the date of the homecoming as well.

I want to see where I might like to live and see what jobs are available at the same time as I am thinking of moving to the US when I get back in October. Been talking about it since I was 14!!

Any recommendations?! :D

Your close to the RI border and almost 12 hours from HC. Your about an hour out of my way. I am sure I could give you a ride. If you wanted to fly into MI and drive back CT I would be fine with that as well. As I said before I am planing on going but its not 100% I am going.

What type of work are you looking for? What type of climate do you like. You might want to start a new post in offtopic so it doesn't get burried in this thread.

Re: Updates! Check this thread out for important information!

If I were to fly-in, what's the best/nearest/cheapest airport? DTW? it looks like thats the big one, but not positive. Car rentals? There are 3 listings in Detriot for airports, DTW, DTT, DET. I'm guessing the others are smaller regional airports and maybe don't have cheap car rentals. What's the name of the hotel, or is that not 'set in stone' yet?
