Re: upper IC overflow nozzle broke off
Seen it lots of times, even on other cars and applications. Just doesnt have a nice clean look to it.
I figured it would help with heat soak from the DP, my DP is already coated (I also want to do the upper and lower intake ceramic coat). Still dont know how hot the aluminum core can get without melting together. Like i said the ceramic coating gets baked at around 400* F. Powder coating is only around 250-300* F, iirc.
I just looked at some melting points, and depending on the aluminum used looks like around 850-1200* F. I think it would be ok, but the fins are so thin/small i think it may melt/deform. I guess there only one way to know for sure.

I can't be the only one who remembers back in the day when people wrapped their CACs in "turbo blanket" material and heat-reflective tape.
