What ever happened to the typhoon which had the TAZ drawings on it. Had a BBC in it. I think Elect bought it or something.

lol i see this place has not changed at all. IM defnitely not new just dropped completely off the radar. I havent been on here in so long i had to create a new name. SO anyhow, i have a spare syty engine but also an opportunity to do something different. Do i stay nostalgic ? Or shall I do something REALLY different? LOL ill just buy another Ty and keep that one "stock" Ultimately in the end i dont give a shit about "opinions" about swapping for a 8. I was curious to see what had been " done " already. For those who have do you love it or regret it?

been working on it for over a year, lets just say GM screwed the aftermarket by making the trans Hign and medium speed can and its a feedback trans:rant: as of right now only stock GM pcms can control it

Manual. It seems every week, something comes up to prevent my progress and I could farm out the job BUT I want the satisfaction of doing it myself. Might have to resume my work on it this fall. I just need to install everything now. If my calculations are correct, the beefy aluminum driveshaft should line the trans up perfect for use in the modified Typhoon console......but I have been wrong before
. Essentially, the entire front end has to be reworked, clutch pedal pack installed, LS1 wiring kit with ECU installed, fuel system upgraded. It will be one of a kind when I am done. I bought a 98 Camaro SS with 19,xxx original miles so I have close to all the parts I need. Some I will have to fabricate.
