Velosyty Chip Unsupported PCM Datamaster

My old IBM laptop died with all my tuning software/bins code59 etc. So I bought a Velosyty chip earlier this year and finally got around to messing with it. Im using a serial to usb adapter now so im not sure if that is the issue or not? Basically I just want to do some datalogging with Datamaster or Tunerpro but the problem being is that neither will work. Datamaster is saying there is a ALDL connection but a unsupported PCM type. The truck runs great so I dont think there is any issue with the chip.

dont think you can use tunerpro with velosyty

Datamaster or TunerPro should work independent of the chip if he is just data logging. They should be able to read the output from the OBD1 port, unless I am severely mistaken.

It will work with both Tunerpro and Datamaster for logging.
However, I do have a definition file for Tunerpro 5 that is geared more towards the Velosyty chip. I don't think it will help with your connection issue though.
You might need to play around with the USB adapter setup/drivers.

I changed the com port and ran Tunerpro with the Velosyty definition and it works:tup:
