WANTED: upper control arm bushing "sleeves"

I am swapping to poly control arm bushings and am searching for the metal "sleeves" that go through the center of the stock bushings.
Those have to be reused on the poly kit and I don't have stock control arms to source them from.

My only other option is to be a brand new set of rubber control arm bushings to hack up.

Does anyone have an old set of bushings they can donate the sleeves out of?
I will pay for your time to pull them and shipping if need be.
Just let me know.

If you buy aftermarket replacement bushings at autozone, etc some versions have the sleeve built in. I have bought them just for the sleeves before.

I believe the Moog brand upper control arm bushings come with that sleeve. Lots fo places carry Moog parts, and it's gret quality. Those pieces should be quite easy to find....

yeah I just hate to buy another set of bushings just to hack them up for the sleeves.
Figured someone out there had to have a set of spare control arms they are tripping over that still have the bushings in them.

they are really not that expensive, less than $10 each.

Re: WANTED: upper control arm bushing "sleeves"

OK, well i got a set of upper contorl arm bushing sleeves that were cadmium plated and perfect in everyway.

Except coilovers don't use the "outer" sleeve.
Only the inner 2 piece sleeve that presses in.

So again, does anyone have the inner sleeve with the "caps" they would be willing to part with?

I have a full set of the outer sleeves that are needed when putting poly bushings into stock control arms. they are not needed on coilover tubular control arms.
$20 shipped.

You have RPM arms right? didn't he do an aftermarket bushing for the upper a arms and not use the stock bushings style?

Yes they are RPMs.
The uppers use the same style bushing as the stock arms except they do not require the outer sleeve.
His instructs show pressing the inner sleeve and caps onto the poly bushing in the uppers.

Also, i had the dustans and the brackets on the frame where the arms mount are compressed inwards a bit.
Whats an easy way to spread them back apart even?
I started with a crescent wrench and an exhaust manifold spreader but it started getting ugly so i stopped before I did more harm than good.
Thinking about making a spreader out of threaded rod adn a few grade 8 nuts and washers.

Your making things too complex.

If you want to remove inner sleeves, a 1/4" drill bit around the rubber in several places will release it. Caps will pop off.

To open pockets back up I have a 5lb sledge. Few "TAPS" and your good usually.
