We have 2 patch files for the $58 code available for use with our software.
The first is a WBO2 over ALDL patch, (58_WBO2.pat) and although it would differ from the one you are referring to, the result would be the same.
The second is a 3-bar MAP sensor patch, (58_3BAR.pat) which includes several performance enhancement's along with a max boost increase.

Either or both of the above patch files can be applied to any $58 4.3L LB4 binary code, even if it has already been modified for your specific application.

you could always manually hex edit the bin file and add the code by hand like i did

You should be able to get patcher and the patchfile here:

http://www.digware.lunarpages.com/patcher/patcher.zip

This is the "truewb" version, the AFR field should read real AFR if a DIY WB is used.

I don't have the "old" non-translating patchfile nearby, otherwise I'd put that up there too. It's quite old, but it works for WB units that I don't have patchfiles for yet.

I'm working on translations for the others (AEM,PLX,Techedge), hope to have those there soon. PLX will likely be a calculated formula, vs. a lookup table.

New versions will also include an offset parameter to counteract any ground float that a particular vehicle might have.

New patcher exe also in the works.... lotsa new stuff.

Let me know if the link doesn't work.

Link works great :D thanks Dig.

But I'am having a problem getting it to patch, I'am using windows XP here what exactly do I have to type in the run program to make it work? I spent over a hour trying to figure it out, I don't really know what I'am doing with this dos type stuff.

It's pretty well explained in the document in the .zip file, I think.

Do a start-> run cmd.exe to get a DOS window.

CD to the directory where you put patcher

Then type:

patcher <mybin.bin> <patchfile.txt>

Where mybin.bin is the name of the bin that you're patching, and patchfile.txt is the patchfile that came in the zip.

It's a good idea to use the full path of the bin file: (somethinglike)

patcher c:\myownbindirectory\mybin.bin patchfile.txt

Hope that clears it up...

To make it easier, try this:

open command prompt

using windows explorer, browse to the folder you have patcher.exe & the patchfile.
using windows explorer, in a 2nd window, browse to the folder you have your bins.

You can simply drag & drop the files into the command prompt, and the complete path will be inserted.

So first drag the patcher file in, then find the bin you want to mod, drag it in, then find the patchfile, and drag it in. might have to add spaces, and make sure the syntax is right, but at least there's no typing 8)

ok this is how I got it working (thanks smeagol for the drag & drop idea)

unzip the patcher files into its own folder

Do a start-> run cmd.exe to get a DOS window.

CD to the directory where you put patcher file

to do that type in the dos window

cd <then drag your patcher file in the dos window> hit enter

then type in the dos window

patcher <drag your bin in> <drag the ptchfile.txt in> hit enter

should be good to go after that, just make sure you put spaces in there to.

thanks again to all

I also forgot to add that I had to download a file off the net (wilx34i.dll) and put it in the patcher folder to get it to work. For some reason my computer was missing it :-?

Ooops, my bad.... that should have been in the zip.

I'll try to fix that today sometime.
(Update: fixed 10:06 AM 6-14-04)

A new patcher is coming... should resolve all the "DOS suckiness" issues.

I think I've said it many times before but thanks Dig for making this stuff available.
Most of us would still be running 2 bar stock 02 setups if it weren't for the many owners that share their work.

Not trying to start a fight but I will never purchase a unit from those that ripped off the work from the DIY WB Project webpage.
