Well, I got published

After the Marlbro article, I wrote an email to Hemmings praising them, and informing them of other rare trucks they may want to do future write ups on. My email made it into the newest issue. Subscribers should have recieved the one buy now, it should be on the shelves sometime soon. Its the one with two cars on the cover, I believe a GS and a Hemi of some sort, but not 100%.

Congrats. Kinda cool having your 15 mins of fame. I've made it into a couple of mags myself; Air & Space a long time ago and more recently Road & Track. Always fun to see your name in print.

Pretty cool eh, Austin?

Thats the first time Ive been published for writing in, kinda weird to see your name in ink.

Best part, they kept www.syty.net Forum Administrator in my sig, so we just got some free advertisement :)

ANYONE KNOW ,WHICH STATE HAS THE MOST SY/TYs???
Per-capita, Alaska wins.
As for just total number of trucks, Florida, California, Michigan, and Illinois all have quite a few. Texas is up there too.

Didn't see your email yet. I didn't even have time to re-read what I submitted. I was thinking about putting in the site addy, but I wasn't sure if we wanted a mass immigration of newbies trying to make a Marlbro clone

On the what state has the most truck (damn thread jackers) I think that per square mile, the award goes to NJ.

Which state has the most running trucks? Thats the real question.
And congrats on the publishing.

Well, I guess you can't count mine as a running truck. That "detail" is going to hurt the stats. I think there are only like eight running sytys.

We have the most of everything per square mile... which has a lot to do with the price of my car insurance.

Back on topic. I'm glad to see a couple of letters got published, now I have to go find a copy of the mag.

My email is right behind yours, im the last one in the list.

George Mattar (editor) said to me that he used our emails for backfire to all the people writing in that bitched about one particular truck or another not making their top ten.

Re: Well, I got published

Congrats on being published! I would have to agree with 16Sy16, while publicity is good, mass invasion of clueless newbies trying to make Syclones out of S-10s is not:rotf:
