paid 13k for the ty with 32k mi.

I bought my SY in 12/97 for $18K. It had around 26K miles on it. I have receipts for over $27K in upgrades and repairs. The current mileage is 41K. I will be selling the SY soon.
On the other (happy) end of my vehicle buying experience, I bought a much modified Buick GN for $12k with 134k miles on it about a year ago. I have spent less than $500 on Buick repairs/upgrades since I have owned it.

I paid $14.5k for my first one six years ago with 53k miles on it totally stock. I've put about $20k into modifying/replacing stock parts (and then replacing those parts for other parts) and only 6k miles. Now I'm selling it for the same price I originally paid for it :roll:
Don't even want to talk about what I paid for the Stokes Syclone or what I put into it last year, still makes me :barf: to think about it. Maybe someday I'll be lucky enough to sell it for half of what I have in it too :banghead:
I need a hobby that consumes cash at a slower rate, like maybe owning my own private jet.........

I paid $16,500.00 in January 2003 for my Sy with 9000 miles. I haven't put much in it otherwise. I'd do it all over again..

im starting to wish i had looked around more for a sy, i bought mine 4 years ago with 49k on it for 11,500, the motor went a week later. 3,300 for rebuild sawpping, fuel pump intercooler pump etc. then the turbo bearings went, bought a new mitsu tdo6 17c 12cm and rebuilt my stocker with the parts.motor is tapping again with 80k on the truck. body is perfect no rust or scratches straight as an arrow, previous owner had some red tweed layed on the dash speaker vents and the bottoms of the doors.also lowered with blocks and the bed cover gone. i may go broke but ill never sell it

15000 € not $ for my 22k sy & already 500€ in tyres(front ones were originals but dry after 14 years)/stikers/oil/filters/wax
/spacers........but such an excusivity in france to drive such a rare truck ,in such a shape(les than 5 in the country).

I was in Paris last week , I never would've expected to see a syty there. It seemed that 90% of the vehicles there were half the size of a mini cooper. I think my next visit will be to Marseille, but Paris was a great city to see.

i paid enough the first time i bought the car. then procedded to put 500$ in it before i even got it titled. traded it for my 72 big block camaro...16k car. traded the camaro for a fully restored bel-air...less than an hour later somehow i was driving a jimmy again. since the first time i owned it over 2500 has been put into it buy the owner then yesterday anouther 300 went right into it. so yeah its a money pit but its a fun one...
