2. suede headliner
3. bilstein shocks in front and rear
4. belltech rear sway bar
5. Chrome C6 Z06 wheels with 345/30/19's with 1/4" spacer
6. new fog lights
7. 8000k bi-xenon HIDs headlights & 8000k HIDs in fog lights

Did you do the visors in suede? If so, any tips?

Truck looks mean! It pretty much screams "FU" to everyone else on the road:evil:

:rotf::rotf::rotf: Thanks for that! I texted SyTy Jim (he lives down in my neck of the woods) about it and I believe the term I used was "it looks Satanic"![/quote]

Looks GREAT Mike! Bring that truck to my house and we can detail her and get her up to speed. I have all the tools we need to do so.

I made a whole new middle console trim panel without cupholders .Standard 2x2 twill cf weave , shift boot and gear indicator pieces fit like stock . Now its just flat in the old cupholder ares so i can mount some switches and gauges .

Those stupid cupholders were worthless anyway .lol

Changed all the fluids front to rear. (I hate trans fluid) Then came in to spend 3 hours looking at rpm's goodies.

Looks like she got some love! What Headlight lens & HID kit did you use?

It has a Hella H4 kit, and I used H4 8000k bi-xenons for the headlights and H3C 8000k's for the fog lights.

We had to modify the fog light housings by opening up the hole and offsetting it to move the hole closer to the hole in the bracket. The bulb socket was too large which required the opening of the hole. In addition, we used an arts/crafts style glue gun to fill the excess opening as this type of glue dries hard unlike silicon. (Installer recommendation.
The bi-xenons come with a special harness that acts like a relay, but the fog lights did not require a relay. My installer charged $200 for the hid's, harness, housing mods and 3.5hr installation.

Also, the headliner, visors, and the long carpeted panel behind the seats were recovered in the suede by my upholsterer ($200). As far as tips for the visors, I can't offer any tips since I didn't do the work, only the re-install ;)

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

Yesterday, I changed the idler arm (found a nice DANA unit), installed new rotors and pads (Fbody), right inner CV boot, plugs wires cap and rotor, installed new vacuum lines(plastic pushlock fittings with blue plastic tubing), modified AFPR for the plastic fitting, cleaned the throttle body and replaced the o-ring on the fuel return line. And also went and got an alignment.

Today, went to the junkyard and found me a 4l80e, got the entire engine harness, ECM and then pulled a 98 Envoy rear end out with disc brakes. Measured equal and I am really hoping that it has 3.42 gears. Also snagged the parking brake cables(hoping to find a way to make them work).

And tomorrow, I am hoping to raise the truck an inch in the rear and maybe a 1/2" front.

Hoping to tear in to the 80e this week to check out the inside.

After a couple of months of temps in the 20s and a few weeks in single digits, we caught a heat wave in the 40s today! I uncovered both of the Tys and let them eat awhile...

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

Loaded the truck with about $4000 of goodies for the voyage home. Stuffed it full of all my other shit as well.

Connected the plunger to the door lock on pass side - a new $.99 piece and an hour was all it took to give me a fully op door back.

I forgot how much I enjoy working on it even though it annoys the hell out of me.

Tightened up the rod for the HB adapter.

Took it out of the garage, drove it to the shop, washed the dust off of it and put on some new shoes.

Washed it and drove it to Newark, NJ, and dropped it off with the Schumacher Cargo Logistics.

Talk about a shit neighbourhood - Irvington, NJ. Wow.

Won't see it for 2 months then it'll be where it belongs - on jackstands in a garage. A sad day.

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

Put on My TCI deep trans pan on today i wish i would have taken some pictures but my hands were covered in crap to touch my nice new Iphone with but ended up having to hand file about a 1/4 inch off the lip of the pan to get it to finally fit.I had to hand file it because of course you let someone borrow your grinder and they don tbring the shit back.A 1/4 inch may not sound like much until you do it by hand.
