Started mounting a meth injection system. Reinforcing the fact there is NO space in the engine bay, so this means that a battery relocation kit, cone filter, and an aftermarket smaller overflow tank is on the list to do, to free up some space.

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

Decided to change the rear main seal.
which led to removal of the down pipe
which led to removing the starter
which led to draining all the fluids and removing transfer case and tranny
which led to the removal of the exhaust system
and since the driveshaft was out figured i would replace the u-joints
which led to discovering another unknown oil leak
which led to trying to remove the oil pan to replace the gasket
which led to removing most of the front suspension & cv joints to get to the bolt that holds the front diff in
which led to my attempts to remove the front diff.

and so my $10.00 rear man seal has now cost me:
a new cat converter
tranny filter & gasket
dipstick seal
new O2 sensor
front pump seal
new starter
driveshaft u-joints
prop shaft u-joints
throtle body gasket kit
3 bottles of water wetter
5 gallons of distilled water
new oil filter
5 new quarts oil
7 new quarts of ATF
6 cans of brake cleaner
countless rags/paper towels
2 pints of blood
a sore back.

And while I am at it I will prob replace:
water pump
thermostat
harmonic balancer

so my small project is turned into a big one.

and i still dont have the front diff out....

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

I washed it, pulled it into the garage, and then threw the drop-in liner that I just pulled out of my Canyon up onto the roof rack until I can figure out how to get rid of it. If its not completely monsooning tomorrow I'll have to get a picture of it.

Drove it 30 miles to pickup the kids from Grandmas house, filled up the gas tank and put her back in the garage..

I think Im gonna stop driving it for a while. I will probably grab something else from the lot in the meantime.

Went cruising last night with SyTyArchives....no racing action, but got to see a Lambo tearing ass onto the highway, a brand new Modena pull up at the hangout spot, and finally on the way home we saw the end of a police chase that ended with 30-40 cop cars about 50-60 yards right in front of us making traffic come to a complete stop at 1:45am. Hung out on the gaurd rail for a bit while they made the arrest.....some dude walked up to ask what happened and mid sentence..."hey, is that a syclone?!" :rotf:

Also drove mine to pick up a few items today to grill....

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

SY-1193 & me took my transfer case apart to re seal it but found lots of crud inside it so it wound up disassembled cleaned up and reassembled. Yesterday I had to elongate the bolt holes and mill the sides of my lower intake so it would fit on my newly rebuilt motor. Today I also bolted down the lower intake and attached the turbo oil drain, cleand the valve covers and painted them. I am still waiting for trans lines ordered from a syty vender so I can get my trans back in before I put the motor back in.

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

I repaired my brake line that sprung a leak on me and did a full rear brake job including drums while I was in there doing that I threw my 3in drop blocks in. I went to take the alternator out and try and figure out why I keep shreading serpintine belts, well that lead to me braking the bracket that holds the alt. and power steering pump! Brok the mounting tab for the alt right off so now I have to fix that! Gotts still do a front brake job on it. While I was under her fixing the brake line noticed I have a fuel line that is starting to weap a little so now I need to fix that! Damn remind me why I own this thing again?
