I installed the passenger side coil-over shock (Turbotime). Went really smooth.

Figured out that installing vacuum lines couldn't be as easy as it was written everywhere....

In trying to get to the vacuum ball... After taking of the 5 easy bolts on the battery tray, found out there were 2 bolts coming from the bottom up that look like at least one of them I will have to go through the fender wall for. Why don't these trucks just come with quick release fender walls?...

Did I mention how wonderful it is to work in an open garage when it's 100+F outside? :steamer:

Part 2 of my weekend. Go to remove lug nuts to get to that battery bolt in the fenderwall...

SNAP, busted a wheel stub. Ugh.

I did manage to finish installing all the vacuum lines (huge difference and now I can hear a "whoosh" sound when I pump my brakes, lol). Finished one project and created another, now I need to replace the wheel studs.

Also washed the Sy and applied a thick layer of Black Chrome.

i've spent probably 1.5hrs trying to grind/cut/grind/punch/chisel/grind two metal rivets out...and neither has come out yet.

I did successfully cuase myself to not be able to hear well for a few mins however.

Up on jackstands, wheel wells out. Sparks and wires changed. Gave up on the (factory) rotor when dinner was called (yesterday). Doing vaccum next...easier with distributor cap out of the way. Lots more to do...we'll see how it goes. Just trying not to rush through it.

Swapped to solid engine mounts and pads with the engine in....... Relocated the battery to the back.. Mounted a new boost gauge.. Deleted the ac.. Still some parts of it left in the car but the compressor++ is gone and RPM's A/C delete is in.. (This was by far the worst job if you ask me, YES worse than the engine mounts)...

Got a lot done today:) (15 hours)

And took a new pic while out "test" driving:tup:

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

I smogged the Sy today

here are the results

RPM 1056 %C02 13.4 ,,,,,%02 =2.3 ,,,,HC (PPM) Max 120 ave 30 meas 2 C0(%) Max 1.00,ave 0.10.meas 0.00

RPM 2524 %C02 13.4,,,, %02 2.3,,,,HC(PPM) max 180 ave 20 meas 1,,C0(%) max 1.00 ave 0.10 meas0.00

Set fuel pressure to 38 PSI vac hose off,,I pulled the tan wire,,,,3/4 gallon of denatured alky, w/a bit over 3/4 tank of 91 octane fuel.
195 stat, increased idle to 1000 or so RPM.
Intercooler pump shut off.
Had the opperator light off the cat, meaning he ran it @ around 2800 for a few minutes ,so the cat got good & hot.
I am using the old Ultimate stock injector chip (radar style) & had it in valet mode.

Had a CEL but I put my friends business card over light to cover it ;-)

You can just retard you timing equivelent to the same degrees of unplugging the tan wire does w/the distributer & not get a CEL ,but it is easier to just unplug the tan wire.

Sy ran like crap this way,but hey it passed legit ,,,sorta.

Not bad for a street legal smog legal 12 second Sy ,,,huh???
