Took my top end off and checked the lifters for wear (solid roller cam), checked head studs torque, new intake and waste gate gaskets, resealed headers to head, checked valve lash, checked crank trigger and timing, new wires, new plugs, cap, rotor, oil change, water change. Time to wake this puppy up.:tup:

Stripped the grey paint off two of the wheels. 2 hrs w/laquer thinner. Tackle the other two tomorrow. Found tie rod adjuster loose. There is the slight wander at speed I think. Now I gotta get the tool out and check the toe-in. Also, the vibration Scott (IDRIVESLO) was complaining about is found. Its the lock-up in the tc. At any hwy speed in overdirve + lock-up just crowd the throttle and tc trys to dis-engage/engage causing a vibration which is quite harsh. Explanes all the loose bolts. Just touch the brakes or just a touch more throttle and goes out of lock-up vibration goes away. Looks like it going to be converter time soon. Dan.

Thanks Steve. So does your Black with the Z06 wheels. Looks better on your car. Hey I went to the local Cad/buick/GMC dealer today for some red paint for the wheels and guess what. They don't carry it. Can get it in a week. I said its your GMC red. All your GMC's have it. Nope, Don't carry it. :tdown: Anybody have a clue what red works? Thanks, Dan.

my valve seals and started to reassemble everything. It's amazing what a difference a nice set of Vortec valve covers (thanks Chris:tup and a nice, clean new Edelbrock water pump make when you look under the hood. Add the EGR delete and no more ABS and there is lots of room too!

Hopefully I'll have it started by next weekend. Then I have to start my search in the attic above it for a blue vac kit.....(haven't forgot about you TNPhoon)
