Re: What did you do to your SyTy today? (part 2)

Had some time tonight and i brought home some tools from work like the exhaust manifold spreader to get the right side manifold on (already had the left on). Installed the power steering pump, the pulley, bracket and lines, installed the oil cooler lines, the crank pulley, started to route some wiring, installed the headlamp buckets and the charcol canister. The engine bay still looks like a mess, but slowly getting it cleaned up.

Flush brake fluid, install new brake hoses, new pads/shoes, calipers, turned discs and drums. Stuck with stock stuff just freshened it up since the green Ty has not been drivin in long time.

Next is fuel system flush and freshen up.

Drove my Ty to pick up what was needed to repair the DD. How often does that happen?

Went out to do my weekly "attempt to start" and it actually started for about 5 seconds. I was shocked. Then nothing.

i took a sick day from work to try and wrap up my truck.

I finished the fuel system, and started taping and looming the spaghetti mess of wires. Last thing is to weld the charge piping, and slap a fresh tune in it.

Well i drove the Sy out to Graham1524 place and looked over some things on his truck. On my way home i started doing a little tuning on the Velosyty chip and i found out that my I/C pump was shot.( IT GOT HOTT!) Once i got home i swapped out the pump for a cobalt SS unit and then swapped out my upper I/C for a ported one

It's been a good day/night.

Walked by it.

Thought to myself, "don't forget you have a transfer case sitting in the bed if you take it for a rip later."

Fresh mobil 1 in the Ty, and found that the cross over tube is cracked. Parked until I get the new one, cause I don't feel like replacing the turbo.

After having my vents only work on DEFOG for the last, oh, what, 4 years, I was dicking around in the garage this weekend and thought "lemme try a different Vac kit". I'll be damned if the check valve from the Plenum > Cruise Control/HVAC wasn't installed backwards when it was built. Changed that line, WOOT....got my vents AND A/C working. Feel dumb as hell for it taking me so long to check that check valve...the whole time I assumed I had an HVAC leak. Durr.....

Also verified that my IC Pump is deader than dead. I swear Harmon was the ONLY person who sucessfully bought one of those cobra IC pumps.
