I installed drivers side cv axle. I bought the heavy duty napa max drive cv drive axle # 94-9000 and the inner boot is STRETCHED........ It's like it's pulled out ?
Works fine, I think...
It's torque right so ???
I did not match the two axles when I removed the old one so I think I should take it apart again. Bummer.

Yeah the top of the water pump has a female Allen plug, removed that and put in my sending unit

Interesting, I'm pretty sure that's "cold" water, not hot as in what's going to the rad but if you're aware of that it shouldn't matter. I'm assuming you still have your heater?

Anyway, thanks.

Just put the heater in yesterday, previous owner had removed it. Yeah it's located in the center top of the water pump, i actually didn't know it's the cold side port, I thought since its on top, that it would be the hot side leaving the pump?

Actually both sides are "cold." Just that one is suction from the radiator and the other is output to the block. That fitting is in the suction side. The only hot position is near the t-stat. I don't know the number but the difference between pump inlet and t-stat out should be small. Once you've warmed the motor with, say, a 180* stat you'll know that whatever the gauge does say is normal operating temp.

Here's what I did:

http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=28861

I asked about the heater because a method to recirculate water when the t-stat is closed is required to avoid hot spots and in our case the heater doses that. Most motors use that short hose you'll see between the manifold and the pump.

I think I'll change my name to: IBRambleling

Went to the pick-a-part yard today, found a super clean 93 jimmy 4x4 that had not been touched, got the A/C heater box, evaporator, condensor, compressor and hard lines.

Came home got the box in, all I had time for before work

Cut off the steering shaft/box heat wrap that was on fire while driving. That wasn't fun at all...
