I was doing an ignition tune-up this weekend. New plugs and cap, plus a new Pioneer balancer.
I had not verified my stock balancer in about 5 years. When i removed it this weekend, i found my timing mark had slipped 7 degrees. I haven't adjusted my distributor in almost 2 years.
So my passes in the last few years have all been 7 degrees retarded. whooops. My mid 11second runs were made on about 10deg of timing, and my low 11s were done on 14deg.
But of course, its all relative, i tune conservatively anyhow. So regardless of the numbers, it should still run the same. But funny to come across this.
Did the tune-up fix your stumble? I have a break-up happening at the top of 2nd so I feel your pain...

I rewired my MSD box, and i believe that fixed my issue. I also found a split boot at the plug terminal on one of my wires, so i made a new one.
I'm hoping i'm close enough to read Frank's license plate through the traps.
Matt make sure your not overly rich in your ve table when it starts missing. Too much fuel will do that.
Put a new battery in and wiped it down...Jim
sack up and turn that timing up to 24* I might be reading yours.
