Here's the VIN for the Black/White Typhoon:

He says that the VIN had to be changed on the title - something
about 'assembled on vehicle title' or something...
Anyways, we got talking, and the company that he bought it from
was PAS when they closed shop. He said that it took him months to
title it due to it being a prototype, and that he had to sign
something from PAS saying that he bought it directly from PAS as-is
w/ no modifications, etc. Kinda sounded likePAS was selling all of
their capital - that type of form/document...
His buddy in Lansing has trhe Blue/Gray '91 Ty that was featured
in Lethal Weapon III, and he is also interested in selling his Ty.
This is the guy who worked at PAS originally...
Jamie (the Black 91 guy ) said he thought there were like 20 or so of
the '91 prototypes; I stupidly, responded with, "No, there's only 4."
DOH!
He then asked how much they were worth - I said that I have absolutely
no idea. Anyways, I'm going to check it out on Friday for ya'll.
I'll get pics and any more info on it too. He doesn't know if there's
any difference betw. the '91 and the prod. w/ regards to the inteior;
that's something else that I'm gonna check out. The Blue/Gray proto
does have a cloth interior though.
I alerted him to our internet group & that we were interested in his
Ty, etc... He was very curious as to what we were all about. Shoot,
I'd say we talked for at least 1/2 hour just about the internet &
our group and PAS and the Syclone/Typhoon (protos and Prods)... He
said he's also heard about the rumors of the '96 Ty and asked
about that - who knows? But, with PAS out of business, I really
can't see it happening. We talked about PAS & why they went under
due to their non-renewal of GM's contract. etc.etc.etrc.
Anyway, he's gonna get with his friend with the Blue Proto, get his
vin #, see if he's interested in selling his also, and in general,
let him know about our internet group. Who knows, maybe we'll
have a couple moresubscribers soon...
